Rino 520HCx or 530HCx Time and Date are Incorrect
We have fixed a problem with the date and/or time being wrong on the Garmin. A software update is required to fix the issue.
What happens if I don't update the software?
The date and/or time determined by the GPS will be wrong
Position, velocity, navigation, and all other functionality not dependent on date and/or time will continue to work normally
How do I update the software?
You can download the latest software using WebUpdater found here.
Important: You may have to install a GPS Chipset from additional updates:
If there are no updates available, select check for additional updates.
If there are updates available, install those first, then select check for additional updates.

1. Cycle the Page/Quit button or press the Main.Page button to access the Main Menu.
2. In the Main Menu, scroll down and select Setup.
3. Select the System icon to open the System Setup page.
4. The Option Menu (Use Thumb Stick to highlight the icon on the left of r the cross icon at the top right corner and press ) allows you to display the current version of unit operating software and the Unit I.D. Number. Then select Software Version and check versions of SW and GPS module.
It must be 3.40 for SW and 3.20b for GPS module. Give us to know what you have seen!
